Tad Powers is a former professional athlete and successful entrepreneur.

While playing professional baseball for 9 years, Tad founded Futera Sports Cards, which later sold to Crazy Cards (producers of Pokemon, Digimon).

Tad was a player, head coach and junior development officer for the Cronulla Sharks of the New South Whales Baseball League for nine winter seasons. Tad then transitioned to become an international scout for the Chicago Cubs and the Anaheim Angels for more than ten years.

Tad was also an owner and manager for The Sydney Wave of the Australian Baseball League (ABL). Powers sat on the ABL Board of Directors for three years.

Tad is the founder of High Country Baseball Camps and International Tours, taking baseball players from both Sydney, Australia and the State of Colorado, on sports-oriented training and tours of the players’ respective regions. Tad later founded the High Country Sandlot Foundation, providing free summer camps and college scholarships for at-risk youths.

Powers is the founder of Sandlot Academies, high-level indoor training, and sports facilities. Under Tad’s guidance, Sandlot Academies was able to secure 29 locations and Licensees in 17 states.

As an adjunct to the Sandlot Academies, Tad conceptually developed the Sandlot Radio Network then produced and hosted the Sandlot Radio Show for 11 seasons, airing in 29 markets.
